OREANDA-NEWS. August 10, 2012. TNK-BP announces that it will conduct the annual Supplier and Contractor Forumon September 12 to discuss company contracting policy and current issues pertaining to the supply of goods and services in the oil and gas sector, reported the press-centre of TNK-BP.

The Forum, which traditionally takes place in September, is open to Russian and foreign suppliers and contractors - permanent partners and to companies which have become TNK-BP’s contractors relatively recently. The Forum’s agenda includes topics like increasing the efficiency of contracting procedures through reducing bureaucratic barriers, as well as measures against wrongdoing in purchasing, goods and services. The Forum participants’ attention will also be focused on using TNK-BP’s best practices in occupational health and safety, industrial safety and environmental protection throughout the contractors’ operations.

German Khan, Executive Director, TNK-BP said: “Each Supplier and Contractor Forumis not only a summary of results and a verification that the strategy we chose is the right one, but it is also an opportunity to discuss the most critical questions in an open dialogue. Transparency and a clear functioning feedback mechanism between the Company and its contractors are the most important drivers in increasing business efficiency. The materialization of TNK-BP’s ambitious strategic plans requires constant improvements in cooperation in key areas like contracting, the fight against wrongdoing and fraud, industrial safety and environmental protection. It is important to us that TNK-BP’s partners understand and share our values, our business vision, and in turn we are ready to come towards their interests.”
