OREANDA-NEWS. August 09, 2012. Mr. Wu Xichun, honored chairman and consultant of China Iron and Steel Association (CISA) had a report on the steel industry situation in the conference center of Garden Internation Hotel. TISCO top managements, Li Xiaobo, Yang Haigui, Hou Jinping, Wang Xinping, Wang Jiguang, Chai Zhiyong, Peng Cungen, Lin Qizeng, Wang Yide, Wang Baidong, Yang Guilong and chiefs of related plants and departments listened to the report, reported the press-centre of TISCO. 
 
Wu Xichun spoke highly of the great, fast, exciting and admirable progress achieved by TISCO in recent years. He commented that, under current tough background, what we need to do is have a clear awareness and find out a solution.
 
Wu Xichun’s report is named as “A Glance of the Puzzle of Steel Industry in a Macro Economy Background”. It illustrated a lot of data to make a analysis to international economy, Chinese economy and challenges of Chinese steel industry. He said, 10 years boost for Chinese steel industry has become a past. It has enter into a transformation period for this industry. Chinese steel industry should focus on two aspects: forging competitive products with the core of technology, brand, quality, service and cost; create a complete industry chain from raw material resource to deep process and service. What behind those two aspects are competitions of strategy setting and adjustment; of enterprises leader’s wisdom, ability and personality; of enterprises’ employees, of enterprises’ culture and spirit. All in all it is competition among enterprises of adaptability and innovation.
 
TISCO chairman Mr. Li Xiaobo figured out that, under such a special transformation period for steel industry, we should firmly keep confidence, bravely face challenge and quickly strengthen competitiveness, so as to overcome the difficulties. In next step, we should persist to our development target, guided by our coporation culture, corporation spirit and corporation prospect, driven by our common effort, to realize our goal.
