AP1000 extrusion stainless steel C profile steel used in the third generation of nuclear power which was independently researched, developed and produced by TISCO was send to Zhejiang for Sanmen Nuclear Power Station. It marked the successful development of extrusion stainless steel C profile steel used in the third generation of nuclear power in china, speeded up localization process in the third generation of nuclear power station, reported the press-centre of TISCO. 

AP1000 is the PWR nuclear power unit with a double loop road 1000 MW and developed by the Westinghouse Company, which is the most advanced nuclear technology of the third generation and has a high security standard. Sanmen Zhejiang and Haiyang Shandong nuclear power plant are the first to use the Westinghouse AP1000 technology of the third generation of nuclear power stations in the world??

In 2007, the Westinghouse AP1000 nuclear power technology was decided to be "technical orientation" for the third generation of nuclear power development in China, which expressed the third generation of PWR nuclear power technology roadmap in our country. In early 2009, according to Westinghouse AP1000 nuclear material purchase specification, TISCO produced S32101 steel about 2000 tons (before all imported from abroad) used in reactor pool for the first time.

The steel are used in Sanmen Zhejiang and Haiyang Shandong nuclear power plant. From 2010 to 2011, TISCO’s stainless steel pipe plant has extruded W steel used in Westinghouse AP1000 nuclear power plant waste heat from the third generation system for the first time in the whole world after developed and tested seven times. The W steel will be used in the Haiyang nuclear power plant. Its performance was better than the welding products and it was listed in ten big news of 2011 year China’s stainless steel industry .

In the first half of this year, after TISCO produced about 500tons S32101 steel plate for Sanmen and Haiyang nuclear power station, TISCO also extruded stainless steel C profile steel with more than 10meters for the first time in china. Compared with the hot rolled plates with the same specification from abroad, this product has a lot of competitive advantage in length, the performance and price, which will be used to build the cooling tower in the top of AP1000 reactor.
