OREANDA-NEWS. August 09, 2012. As part of the visit by Citi Country Officer for Russia Zdenek Turek to the bank’s operational office in Ryazan, a meeting was held with Rector of Ryazan State Radio Engineering University Viktor Gurov. The meeting resulted in the signing of a cooperation agreement, which reflects the interest of the bank and university in joint educational, research, innovation and social activities as well as the development professional education opportunities in the Ryazan region, reported the press-centre of Citi.

In the near future a program of joint efforts of Citibank and Ryazan State Radio Engineering University will be developed to facilitate the personal and professional development of students of the university. Both of the parties expressed their hopes for a long and fruitful partnership.

At the conclusion of the meeting, Zdenek Turek noted: "Over the course of its 200-year history, Citi has accumulated enormous experience in social investment and cooperation with educational institutions throughout the world. We strive to participate in life of the communities where we work, bringing in interns to study in the role of bank specialists and engaging partners to implement education programs with the use of modern teaching methods and technologies. We intend to provide students here with the opportunity to participation in internship programs and help them find employment at the bank."

Within the framework of the agreements reached today our students can receive valuable professional experience while studying at the university, and upon completion they can apply for positions at this international bank with substantial career development opportunities.
