OREANDA-NEWS. August 08, 2012. Scholarships for students increase from 1 September – just then the government regulation № 703 dated July 25, 2012 "On Amendments to the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine regulation dated March 5, 2008 № 165" enter into force. By this time everyone who is eligible receives the "old" scholarship, similar payments like in previous school year.

Recall that the last time scholarships for students raised in 2008 and since then has only indexed to inflation. The decision will protect students' rights to a decent stipend, the amount of which should be reviewed annually taking into account the price level.

As noted by the Prime Minister of Ukraine Mykola Azarov, the Government increases scholarships for students from September 1. That is, higher scholarships students to receive from the beginning of this school year. At the same time its size is higher than the current base stipend payments with the addition of inflation. And in any case, students will not receive less than previously received, Mykola Azarov said, promising ask to officials, who in time will not provide the rights of students.

According to vice Prime Minister, Minister of Social Policy Sergiy Tigipko, scholarship of students will increase by an average of 37.5%.
