Kaspersky Lab Technologies Protect Businesses from Rogue Employees
OREANDA-NEWS. August 6, 2012. Kaspersky Lab has taken out patents on three new technologies designed for business security solutions. These include a technology for proxy server-side antivirus scanning of data downloaded from the network, a method for reducing IT security risks on corporate computer networks, and a system for controlling access to network resources.

Conversely, if the assessment suggests there is little evidence of malicious components in the data being downloaded, scanning will be performed on the user’s computer. Compared to other solutions which provide antivirus scanning on a remote computer or server, the technology patented by Kaspersky Lab has the advantage of automatically selecting the scanning algorithm for the files being downloaded, making the security system more efficient and saving resources.
