OREANDA-NEWS. August 06, 2012. In the 1st half of 2012 JSC “Sea Port of Saint-Petersburg” transferred over 13 mln. Rubles for the implementation of environmental programmes, reported the press-centre of Sea Port of Saint-Petersburg.  

In particular, the company continued the modernization of heat supply facility of the port, which allowed to stop using oil-fired boiler rooms and hence to decrease hazardous atmospheric emissions. Besides within the reporting period the company performed monitoring of environment and removal and elimination of production waste.

In the 1st half of 2012 measures for decrease of negative impact on water resources were carried out. In particular, the company controlled the observance of rules of use of  water protection and coastal area, performed repairs and maintenance of storm water sewerage systems and treatment systems of the company, performed treatment of waste water.
