KAMAZ Increases Exports
OREANDA-NEWS. August 06, 2012. For the first half-year exports of trucks and vehicles of OJSC KAMAZ have been steady increasing, reported the press-centre of KAMAZ.
The business plan for sales of trucks and assembly kits in the first half-year 2012 was exceeded. Sales grew by 13% from the same period a year earlier.
The promising market of CIS countries occupies a special place in the company’s exports. The leading Russian truck producer is very successful in Kazakhstan: KAMAZ’s share on Kazakhstan’s market has greatly increased to exceed 30%. KAMAZ is also promoting its products in Turkmenistan, Ukraine, Uzbekistan.
KAMAZ tries to win overseas markets as well. Thus, KAMAZ delivered its vehicles to Cuba on account of the Russian state credit: 226 trucks were sold in the first half-year 2012. The company and Rosoboronexport are jointly working out the details of KAMAZ vehicles delivery to South America.
KAMAZ is making all efforts to return its positions on the African continent: the first KAMAZ vehicles were delivered to Tanzania, Ghana, Equatorial Guinea.
It should be recalled that, according to the results of 2011, OJSC KAMAZ was named the best Russian exporter in the automotive industry for the 13th consecutive time.
