Moldova to Decrease Grape Harvest by 10%

The projected decline in the grape harvest this year the Ministry of Agriculture explain with the adverse weather conditions - winter frosts and severe drought this summer.
It is expected that the whole country will collect 540 000 tons of grapes, including 480 000 tons of technical grades, and 60 000 tons of table grapes. At the same time, about 250 000 tons of grapes are scheduled to direct to wineries for production of wine, and about 30 000 tons of table grapes should be exported abroad for fresh consumption.
Most of the supplies of the Moldovan wine in the season have traditionally been the share of Russia.
