OREANDA-NEWS. August 3, 2012. Employees of the “Kazakhstan temir zholy” company, civil servants and staff of the Zhetygen-Korgas railway stations received the keys to new homes and apartments. There are 565 well-appointed apartments, 403of which are designed for the railway workers, 162 - for the employees of state agencies.

Zhetygen, Shelek, Taskarasu stations, the village of Nurkent hold house-warming celebrations these days.

The new railway line Zhetygen-Korgas was built on the instruction of the President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev, in the framework of the State program of forced industrial-innovative development. Zhetygen-Korgas railway was commissioned on the eve of the 20th anniversary of country independence and gave jobs for employees who with their families enter the comfortable accommodation today.

At the station Zhetygen were commissioned six semi-detached houses, at the station Shelek - 23 semi-detached houses, at the station Taskarasu - 11 semi-detached houses. The largest social object of the new road is Nurkent village where it was built 28 three-storey residential buildings which contain 387 apartments, and 40 semi-detached houses.

In addition, secondary school for 600 pupils, kindergarten for 240 kids, family outpatient clinics 100 visits, public service center, canteen, public bath, a fire station and other facilities of social importance were opened today in Nurkent.

On the 1st of September new school for 120 pupils and a medical center will open their doors at the Taskarasu station.

Altynkol station which is near the Chinese border also received social development. A modern station, administrative building for civil servants, domestic service building, canteen, a hotel-type house with the cultural and sporting facilities were built there.

Thus, the railway line Zhetygen-Korgas became not only the largest production facility, built during the years of sovereignty, but also the object of great social significance. The people who employed at this railway line will live in conditions not inferior to standards of living in large cities.

The official opening of the Zhetygen-Korgas railway was held on December 9, 2011 during a national teleconference with the participation of the Head of the state, who also gave a start for its construction in August 3, 2009.
