OREANDA-NEWS. August 03, 2012. As the press service of the government informs, it was discussed during the visit of Prime Minister Vladimir Filat to the plant of parts and electrical equipment for cars Draexlmaier Automotive, located in FEZ "Balti".

According to the director of the plant Hilbert Better, since its launch in 2007, the company has become one of the leading manufacturers and exporters in Moldova. At present, the Draexlmaier Automotive factory employs 2.6 thousand people, of whom 1000 from Balti, others - from nearby settlements. The average wage at the plant is 5200 lei, at the same time, the company provides its employees with transportation and meals.

Better Hulbert reported that in 2012 the plant launched construction of a new production shop, which is scheduled for completion in November, and the work in the new works will, presumably, start in February 2013 - there another 1.5 thousand new employees will get jobs. Head of Draexlmaier Automotive said that purchasing power in the region increases. He asked the Prime Minister to support optimization of export-import operations at the border, because spare parts to be produced in new production works are planned for delivery directly to the car assembly plants in Germany, where the production process takes place in "one minute".

Filat, having made a tour of the plant, said opening of businesses focused on attracting investment and creating new jobs, has positive impact on socio-economic development of Moldova. He also noted the need for cooperation with the Ministry of Education, residents of free economic zones of the country to train specialists and employ graduates of vocational schools.

As it was previously reported, to ensure that the company with qualified labour force, Draexlmaier Automotive signed a partnership agreement with the State University A.Russo in Balti, to train engineers in the specialty "engineering industry".
