Two Schools Funded by CNPC Completed in Myanmar
OREANDA-NEWS. August 01, 2012. Two newly built high schools in Kyaukpyu of Rakhine State, funded by CNPC as a part of its 6 million USD aid program to Myanmar, were transferred for use, reported the press-centre of CNPC.
On behalf of CNPC, CNPC South East Asia Pipeline Company Limited (SEAP) turned over the new schools and related documents to the Myanmar side, and donated school supplies for the students.
Built in 1952, one of the schools in Kyaukpyu suffered from severe deterioration and destruction. Its 2,000 students had to go to school at separated times due to the lack of classrooms. The new school, with a total area of 2,500 square meters, can provide the students with full time education and better teaching facilities.
