OREANDA-NEWS. August 01, 2012. Beltelecom summarizes the results of operation of the company for the first half of the year 2012. Today Beltelecom is a leader in provision of telecommunications services in the Republic of Belarus and it continues to develop dynamically.This year Beltelecom has started commercial operation of some innovation projects, as well as implemented a significant number of new services for Belarusian market of services, reported the press-centre of Beltelecom. 

Republican Unitary Telecommunications Enterprise Beltelecom was founded on July 3, 1995. The National Telecommunications operator is the largest telecommunications operator on the territory of the Republic of Belarus. Past 1-st half of the year Beltelecom held successfully, confirming the status of the reliable partner and maintaining the reputation in an increasingly competitive environment.

"Our strategic goal is provision of complex services to subscribers. High quality support service is the key to successful development of Beltelecom". Our objective is to find strategic sources of growth, and this can be achieved by provision of new services to our subscribers", - said General Director of the Republican Unitary Telecommunications Enterprise Beltelecom, Sergei Popkov.

Today Beltelecom serves more than four million of subscribers of fixed telephony services, about two million of subscribers of broadband Internet access byfly and interactive television ZALA. Last year Beltelecom started commercial operation of IMS network, connection of subscribers based on xPON technology, and implemented services — Virtual exchange and Musical marathon (based on IMS network). In frames of xPON technology a new line of tariff plans byfly Record was introduced, it allows to ensure Internet access rate up to 20 Mbps. During this 1-st half of the year the services Serial number and Minsk number were launched, and a new line of hosting services packets – packets of virtual dedicated services VPS -5, VPS-20 and VPS-50 (capacity of disc space in packets 5, 20 and 50 Gbits respectively).

Now total capacity of the external Internet gateway of the Republic of Belarus equals 210 Gbps, extension of the capacity by 10 Gbps is planned in the near future.
Among new services of Beltelecom:

— Video portal service is an innovation solution for subscribers of broadband Internet access  byfly;

—Information portal service of Interactive ZALA;

— Audio and Videoconference services are planned for implementation (on the basis of IMS network);

—eSpace service announced at XIX International exhibition and congress TIBO-2012;

—Value-added service for subscribers of byfly are extended.
