OREANDA-NEWS. August 01, 2012. The Logistics Department of TATNEFT celebrated its first anniversary in July 2012: 10 years of creative, productive and successful work, reported the press-centre of TATNEFT.  

The history of this division began with an order of Sh. F. Takhautdinov, General Director of TATNEFT. The purpose of establishing UMTO (Logistics Department), as part of the Company's Executive Office, was to have centralized control over the processes of procurement and distribution of material assets, increased effectiveness of arranging tenders for their supply, centralization of bidding, tender and contracting operations, financial calculations, delivery of material assets to the structural divisions of TATNEFT, as well as ensuring timely assimilation of quotas and norm setting of the warehouse inventory at the structural divisions.

"Regulations on the logistical support of structural divisions", "Regulations on leasing", "Regulations on consignment," "Regulations on placing orders at own production facilities" and "Regulations on the marketing evaluation" have been developed and approved in stages.

The information system of TATNEFT resource management on the basis of SAP R/3 has been established. Centralization of the Company's warehouse facilities has been carried out. A Trade and Technology House of O TATNEFT has been established and an electronic procurement platform for selecting suppliers has been introduced. All these and other changes have led to significant savings in financial, material and labor resources, as well as contributed to the exclusion of unscrupulous suppliers, duplication of assets purchases at the structural divisions and reduction of the stock balance.

Experts of UMTO are in the midst of the most important cases and events in the life of TATNEFT today, such as the construction of the "TANECO" Refining and Petrochemical Plants Complex, effectively solve a wide range of tasks, including those of strategic importance for the whole Company.
