OREANDA-NEWS. July 31, 2012. The workers of OJSC "MSU-90" have completed the repair campaign at the first power unitof Leningrad NPP and came to the second power unit

Specialists of assembly organization have successfully completed the works within the frameworks of preventive maintenance at power unit No. 1 and started repairing the second power unit of the station.

Within the frameworks of this work, the assembly workers will have to examine and repair  hanger-support systems of   steam-water communication lines (SWC)  and lower water communication lines (LWC); examine the hanger-support system of downcomer pipelines of basic stations with elimination of identified defects; replacement of throttles. Also the pipelines of technical and circulation water supply will be examined according to the program, the follow – up control will be performed for the comments made, and the parts of the pipelines will be replaced according to the results of examination.  Besides that, the specialists will prepare the pipelines and equipment of systems important for safety for operational control of metal and joint welds (JW) and technical inspection (TI).  The works will be performed simultaneously in the reactor and the turbine compartments of the power unit according to the annual program of repairs.
