OREANDA-NEWS. July 31, 2012. A meeting with the delegation of the Chinese Committee for Assistance in the International Trade Development (CCAITD) of the province Hunan (PRC) took place at the RF Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

From the Russian party heads of the CCI committees on entrepreneurship in construction, municipal housing economy, commerce and investments, as well as representatives of scientific institutes took part in the meeting.

The meeting was opened by CCI of Russia Vice-President Vladimir Strashko. He noted a high economic potential of the province Hunan and stressed that one of the principal tasks of the Chamber in terms of improvement of Russian-Chinese relations for the near future is mobilization of efforts of the entrepreneur society towards increasing mutual trade turnover. In this connection Vladimir Strashko highly evaluated the level of relations established by the RF CCI with the Chinese Committee for Assistance in the International Trade Development. In response the Chinese delegation head, permanent member of the CPC Committee of the province Hunan Zhang Wensyun thanked the Russian party for warm reception at the Chamber and told about the province’s economic potential. According to him, most well developed branches of the province Hunan are machine building and metallurgy, food industry and agriculture, mining, tourism, and service trades. 10 thousand state and 232 thousand private enterprises were registered in the province. The annual gross regional product is 2 billion yuans. 119 out of 500 largest world companies have their representative offices in the province Hunan.

Zhang Wangsyun also stressed that cooperation of Russia and the province has a long-standing history. Soviet specialists took part in construction of many buildings of the province, including administrative premises, bridges and industrial enterprises. Volume of trade with Russia is constantly growing: in 2011 it amounted to USD 220 mln., which is 10% more than in 2010. The province Hunan exports to Russia tea, manganese containing articles, machines and equipment. Russia exports to the province raw materials containing plumbum, and certain machines and equipment. The province Hunan maintains close relations with Ulyanovsk region, twin town Podolsk of the Moscow region.

The purpose of the visit of the Chinese Committee for Assistance in the International Trade Development to Russia, according to Zhang Wangsyun is exchange of experience in the area of trade and industrial administration of enterprises. Of special interest to the Chinese guests is Russian experience in the area of energy-saving technologies, “green economy”, alternative energetics.

A presentation film about the RF CCI featuring main areas of the Chamber activities was demonstrated to the Chinese guests.

Then the Chairman of the RF CCI Committee on Entrepreneurship in Housing and Utility Area Andrey Shirokov, Director of the All-Russian Scientific-Research Institute of Potato Growing named after A.G.Lorkh Evgeny Simakov, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the GK “TONAP”, member of the Committee on Investment Policy of the RF CCI Oleg Chukhlantsev spoke. They told about their activities at the CCI and presented to the Chinese guests prospective projects for joint implementation.
