OREANDA-NEWS. July 31, 2012. Eurasia Insurance Company is participating in the reinsurance programme of South Korean petrochemical corporation – Honam Petrocchemical Corp (HPC), - the insurer reported.

Under a reinsurance contract property interests, including machinery breakdown and business interruption are covered. Insurance amount is limited to USD900m for each insured event, - stated in the message.

Founded in 1976, HPC is a South Korean producer of petrochemicals and polymers with its businesses comprising of polyethylene, polypropylene, functional resins and basic petrochemicals and chemicals. The Corporation owns several chemical plants and research centers that has been focusing on development of new products and technologies in the sphere of waste treatment and processing of raw materials with no impact on environment.
