OREANDA-NEWS. July 30, 2012. National oil and gas group "Petrovietnam" officially announced JSC "Zarubezhneft" the winner of the tender for developing the gas block 12/11 offshore South of Vietnam on the basis of the Production Sharing Agreement.

Company submitted application bid in 2011.

The first stage of obligatory works is estimated for three years and contains carrying out geological surveys, in the course of which "Zarubezhneft" plans to drill 3 wells and conduct 3D seismic survey on the total area of 1000 sq. km.

Block 12/11 is located in Nam Con Son basin, 200 km South to the Bach Ho and Rong fields being developed by JV "Vietsovpetro".
