OREANDA-NEWS. July 30, 2012. The builders of OJSC SK MOST started to launch a 126-meter long span structure of the bridge over the Vetluga River at the 570th km in Gorky - Shakhuniya Section of Gorky Railway Line.

The builders have to replace three span structures of the 332-meter long bridge within a window from June 25th to July 27th. They have already removed two old 34-meter long end span structures and replaced them with two new span structures using GPK-130 Railway Crane. Preparation for installation of the last 126-meter long span structure in the odd-numbered track is underway. The first 126-meter long span structure was replaced at the end of last year.

In the meantime, the builders have been repairing the pillars, filling the bridge approach ways, and erecting a security guard building. After the rotation camp has been removed, a protective embankment will be erected to rule out soil erosion with water at the bridge pillars.
