OREANDA-NEWS. July 27, 2012. LLC "STROYGAZMONTAZH" has won the open bidding query of JSC “Gazprom” for construction of the most high-power compressor station in the world, CS Russkaya (I Phase), as well as CS Korenovskaya (I Phase).

The compressor stations are constructed as per order of LLC "Peter Gaz" as part of the construction project "Extension of Unified Gas Supply System to Provide Gas Supply to South Stream Gas Pipeline".

CS Russkaya will be constructed in the Krasnodar Region nearby Anapa. The compressor shop at CS Russkaya will be equipped with 7 GPU (gas pumping units), 32 MW each. Construction of the second shop is planned at CS Russkaya in the future which will allow increasing the capacity of the station two fold. So, the total capacity of the CS Russkaya shall be 448 MW, while the planned capacity of the largest compressor station at the moment – CS Portovaya (Gryazovets – Vyborg Gas Pipeline) – is 366 MW.

Compressor station Korenovskaya (Stage I) will be equipped with 5 GPUs, 25 MW each.

Construction will start in Quarter IV, 2012 and it will be completed in Quarter II, 2016.
