OREANDA-NEWS. July 27, 2012. An open Roadshow for investors organized by the Moscow School of Management SKOLKOVO together with the MSU Business Incubator took place on the SKOLKOVO Campus. Seven projects in the spheres of IT and DNA technologies and pharmaceutics were presented to the investors by the MSU and SKOLKOVO Business Incubators residents.

The event was held in the power-pitch format: each project team had only five minutes for their presentation, and right after that they had to answer numerous questions from investors, potential consumers and the SKOLKOVO business school professors.

“The goal of such events is not only to get investments.  Such Roadshows let young entrepreneurs take a different view of their projects, look at them with their consumers’ and potential partners’ eyes. Finally, it is a chance to meet like-minded people”, explained Maxim Karpov, head of the SKOLKOVO Entrepreneurial community.

In the course of the Roadshow the MSU and SKOLKOVO Business Incubators presented projects in a wide range of spheres: from the newest developments in the pasteurization area to toxic rubber waste recycling technologies. For instance, the Lactocore project team from the MSU Business Incubator spoke about their one-of-a-kind elaboration – a component that makes baby food as healthy as breast milk. The interactive presentation of the PlayDisplay project appeared to be especially interesting for other participants. Applying the technology of additive reality Andrei Sudarikov, project director, before the very eyes of the audience transformed an astronomy textbook into a 3D planetarium. The SKOLKOVO Business Incubator was represented by the school’s graduates. For example, Elina Mannurova spoke about her project – a technology of toxic waste recycling. Another SKOLKOVO Business Incubator resident presented the “Millisecond pasteurization” project that comprises a technology that enables to keep food freshness and healthiness after its processing.

In the end of the presentation the Roadshow guests and participants chose the winners from each Bussiness Incubator. According to the voting results “Millisecond pasteurization” was named the best project of the SKOLKOBO Business Incubator. And the Genotek service of DNA express-diagnostics was chosen as the most interesting one from the MSU Business Incubator. The winners got an opportunity to discuss their ideas with the initiator of the SKOLKOVO Entrepreneurial ecosystem creation Valentin Zavadnikov.

“To have an idea is not enough. It should be implemented, and, unfortunately, it is impossible without money. That is why the SKOLKOVO Investor Club exists: here we make perspective entrepreneurs meet interested investors”, added Vitaly Polekhin, coordinator of the SKOLKOVO Investor Club.

“Our work is to develop business, - draw a conclusion Yuri Mitin, director of the MSU Business Incubator. We will hold such meetings with investors as well as other events together with SKOLKOVO more frequently. For instance, already in September we are going to enroll new residents to the MSU Business Incubator”.
