OREANDA-NEWS. July 26, 2012. A grand commencement ceremony was convened for the 1st Phase Project of Yangtze River International Shipping Logistic Service Center in Nanjing. Officials of the Ministry of Transportation (MOT), Governor of Jiangsu Province, Mayor of Nanjing Municipal Government and the other relevant leaders were present at the event and laid the foundation for the Logistic Service Center. Heads of MCC Real Estate Group (MCC RE Group) also took part in the commencement ceremony, including the Vice General Manager and the Marketing & Planning Director of MCC RE Group, as well as the Vice General Manager and the Chief Accountant from the Branch of MCC RE Group, reported the press-centre of MCC RE Group.

The ceremony was presided over by Vice Mayor Hua Jing of Nanjing Municipal Government. Vice Mayor Lu Bing of Nanjing City delivered a welcome speech. Vice Minister Xu Zuyuan of MOT also addressed the ceremony and extended congratulations to the commencement of the project. Xu stated that, MOT would pay keen attention and provide essential support to the construction of Yangtze River International Shipping Logistic Service Center in Nanjing, with an aim to establish it into an special area for shipping service industry with outstanding influence both at Yangtze River Delta (even at home and abroad), which would match with the International Shipping Center in Shanghai and promote the growth of shipping business in the regions surrounding Yangtze River.

The project is located nearby Yongning Street and Shangbu Street in Xiaguan District, with a total investment of RMB 3.3 billion yuan. Nanjing Zhengbin Real Estate Development Co., Ltd. of MCC RE Group is responsible for the project implementation, which is expected to be completed by the end of 2014. In the future, efforts will be made on business attraction from all over the world. By means of attracting the headquarters of the transnational and domestic renowned shipping companies to Nanjing, this Center will be developed into an Economic Center for Shipping Headquarters, Comprehensive Services Center, Logistic Trade Center and Talent Exchange & Training Center for Shipping Industry in the region of Yangtze River.
