Combating Cartels Is FAS Priority, Deputy Head of FAS Says
OREANDA-NEWS. July 26, 2012. The second day of the workshop “Legal Views of the Constitution Court of the Russian Federation and the Supreme Arbitration Court of the Russian Federation on the Cases Related to Antimonopoly Enforcement” in Gorno-Altaisk focused on combating cartels, reported the press-centre of FAS Russia.
The workshop was organized by the Federal Antimonopoly Service jointly with the International Lawyers Union with participation of judicial community.
Stats-Secretary, Deputy Head of FAS Andrey Tsarikovskiy opened the workshop stating that “cartels always existed, but only in the past few years FAS started actively combating them because the law has changed radically and FAS formed a special anti-cartel department”.
According to Deputy Head of FAS, the new practice of suppressing and preventing cartels in Russia is establishing.
Andrey Tsarikovskiy reminded the workshop participants that combating cartels is one of FAS priorities.
