The Yokohama Rubber Co., Ltd., announced today that they started production and will start shipment of marine hose products in compliance with new international standard, "GMPHOM2009" which was released by Oil Companies International Marine Forum and they boost their sales for the new standard hoses.

 As marine hoses are indispensable for the offshore transportation of crude oil, they are widely used for single buoy mooring system or FPSO, Floating Production Storage and Offloading system. Yokohama marine hoses are well-known as SEAFLEX brand across the globe.

 GMPHOM revised and updated as GMPHOM2009 for two decades, requires higher durability and reliability by introducing demanding test method such as 25,000-time dynamic fatigue test. YRC improved the design and materials of the marine hose by leveraging its technology achieved through long history and launched products fully in conformance with the new standard. Since marine hoses are critical parts for safe operation, the best quality is required for oil & gas industry to avoid marine contamination. Yokohama marine hoses obtained further trustworthiness through acquisition of GMPHOM2009 certificate.
