OREANDA-NEWS. July 25, 2012. Central Bank of India under its corporate social responsibility provided water storage tanks in the water shortage areas of Man & Khatav Taluka. These water storage tanks were handed over to district administration who will in turn supply the water in the villages. On this occasion programmes were organized at Dahiwade block office & Waduj tehsil of Satara district. Speaking on this occasion Shri B. S. Shekhawat , Zonal Manager appreciated the efforts of Dr. Ramaswami N., IAS, Collector Satara for provoding water in water shortage areas and thanked him for making Central Bank of India part of this pious programme. Shri G. S. Dhir, Regional Manager informed that since last two years Central Bank of India has provided a moving agriculture lab for the villages of Western part of Maharashtra and is working along with Bhumata Trust established by Dr. Budhajirao Mulik. With this lab soil and water testing etc is being done at free of cost. Dr Ramaswami N., Collector Satara appreciated the contribution of the bank and requested to continue the same in future as well.
