SAIC Motor Corporation Limited (hereinafter “SAIC Motor” for short) announces that two new energy vehicles from its subordinated self-owned brands, E50 full electric sedan and “Shanghai Brand” fuel battery sedan, will be displayed in 2012 Hannover Messe. As the largest industry grand meeting around the world, Hannover Messe has become the displaying platform for technological products of innovative industry and automatic technology. In the 2012 Hannover Messe, which will open on April 23, the participation of SAIC Motor represents the China vehicle industry to show our R&D power of new energy vehicle to the world and builds up good image of “Made-in-China”.

The entire independent intellectual property rights of E50 full electric sedan, which will be put into production this year, is owned by SAIC Motor. The highest speed of E50 full electric sedan is 130 miles/hour and it can continue to run over 120 miles in the condition of city. This model is equipped with DC fast charging and AC slow charging functions. The fast charging can have 80% of the power in 20 min; slow charging can make use of family power supply which takes 6 hours entirely. Specially, this state-of-the-art new energy vehicle adopts new environmental-friendly material with resistance to harmful organisms, degradable environmental-friendly material, digital dashboard and long-distance real-time monitoring system. It can not only bring brand new driving experience to users, but also emphasize the modern, technological and environmental-friendly characters of electric vehicles and represent the development direction of vehicle in the future.

New generation of fuel electric sedan – “Shanghai Brand” fuel electric sedan – self-developed by SAIC Motor shoulders the important project of national 863 “energy saving and new energy vehicle” project. It adopts high pressure hydrogen storage system as power fuel supply and the most advanced fuel cell electric pile, power lithium battery and driving motor. The highest speed is 150 miles/hour and it can continue to run over 250 mils in city comprehensive condition with the advantages of zero emission, high efficiency and low noise. In the 11th Challenge Bibendum in Berlin, Germany, this model ranked the third position of the comprehensive group in the group of fuel battery vehicle, which ranked only second to Toyota and Audi.
