President of Niger Visits CNPC
OREANDA-NEWS. July 23, 2012. During his visit to China to attend the opening ceremony of the fifth Ministerial Conference of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC), President of Niger Mahamadou Issoufou paid a visit to CNPC, and had a friendly talk with Mr. Zhou Jiping on promoting oil and gas cooperation, reported the press-centre of CNPC.
President Mahamadou Issoufou praised CNPC as one of the pioneering companies to invest in Niger. He said that after signing the cooperation agreements with CNPC, Niger has now turned into an oil producer, boasting its own refinery. The refined products can not only satisfy domestic need, but also have been exported to neighbouring countries. The cooperation between CNPC and Niger is set for win-win outcomes, which complies with the benefits and the common goal of the two countries.
Zhou Jiping extended his gratitude to President Mahamadou Issoufou for his support to the oil and gas cooperation between the two countries. He said that CNPC has the strength and confidence to expand the cooperation scale, so as to make greater contributions to the social and economic development in Niger.
