OREANDA-NEWS. July 23, 2012. Eurasia Insurance Company has paid KZT2m for the damage of the world’s largest bulker Vale Beijing – the press service of the company reported.

Last year in early December, the world’s largest bulker Vale Beijing suffered structural cracking while loading cargo in northeast Brasil. As a result of the crash, the bottom of the soil was damaged and destroyed.

The ship, owned by the major mining giant – Vale Ltd., was reinsured by Eurasia Insurance Company. As part of its share of liability, Eurasia has made an interim claim payment of USD 13, 500 – stated in the message.

Vale Beijing, which is used for shipping such products as ore, coal and other minerals, was put into operation in just two months before the accident.
