FAC Obtained Rights for Transmission Lines Phase I Project in Congo
OREANDA-NEWS. July 20, 2012. Phase I of Transmission Lines Project (South of Ngo Section) in the Republic of Congo won the FAC. The acceptance ceremony was held in Congo’s National Power Dispatching Center (Centre National de Dispatching), reported the press-centre of CMEC.
The final acceptance certificate was co-signed by Mr. Leon IBOVI, representative of Congo’s Major Projects General Delegation(Delegation Generale des Grands Travaux), Mr. Wang Wei, General Manager of the CMEC Transmission Lines Project in Congo, as well as representatives of FICHTNER which isa German consulting firm, and the Ministry of Energy and Water Resources, the Ministry of Supervision and the National Electricity Company of Congo. Mr. Leon IBOVI, on behalf of the Congolese government, spoke highly of the quality of work and the warranty service provided by CMEC.
The Phase I Project includes the expansion of one 220kV substation, as well as the building of two 220kV substations, 387km 220kV lines, ten 30kV substations, 317km 30/20kV lines, and 30km 400V lines, constituting half of the whole Transmission Lines Project in Congo.
The Phase II Project (North of Ngo Section) was awarded the PAC on May 23, 2012 and is now in the Warranty Period.
