OREANDA-NEWS.  July 20, 2012. Prime Minister Mykola Azarov has had the opportunity to personally make sure that Ukrainian farmers are able to grow high quality vegetables during his working trip to Kherson region, which exceeds even the European quality.

"We have seen that we can grow vegetables that better than in Europe, vegetables are better in quality. The problem of expensive vegetables is lost" - Mykola Azarov said speaking about his impressions of acquaintance with the work of the farm "Trud" in Kamyanka village of Kahovka district.

The Prime Minister said that we still need to spend a lot of work to develop advanced logistics supply chain of vegetables: "The establishment of logistics systems has led to a significant reduction in retail prices. But it takes time to make the chain minimal from producer to buyer at minimal cost to the dealers. Over time, it will be normalised and will be improved" - the Prime Minister said.

"Agrarians of Kherson region raised the problem of growth, development problems" - Mykola Azarov said, adding that the Government is taking concrete steps to address them.
