OREANDA-NEWS. July 20, 2012. The State Administration of Railway Transport Ukrzaliznytsia does everything possible to meet the growing demand in passenger traffic. This was started by Director-General of Ukrzaliznytsya Volodymyr Kozak during a briefing at the Government House.

In particular, he noted that for the convenience of the passengers 160 additional offices, including seven mobile have been opened. In addition, he said, sale of ticket via the Internet has been increased. So, if last year over the last month via the Internet nearly 100000 tickets (just over 1%) were sold, then in June of this year - more than 200000 (3.2%).

It also finalized the work on organization of the work of a system of electronic passenger ticket. It is expected that in October Ukrzaliznytsia will abandon security forms.

"We are now completing work with the tax administration, and we expect that in October we will move to electronic ticketing. Tickets that will be purchased via the Internet, you shouldn’t print on the form in office" - said General Director of Ukrainian Railways. He explained: the procedure has been developed, which provides that having a printout of an electronic ticket purchased via the Internet, you can just sit on the train, where there will be held check of the ticket and identification of the person who purchased it.

At the same time, Volodymyr Kozak expressed doubts about returning to purchase tickets for passports, because it does not help to overcome the corruption in their sale. "Experience has shown that if the tickets were sold registered, with passports, it gave a long delay in the queues for the sale of tickets. And dealers have been, and remain. In addition, there were great difficulties when it was necessary to buy tickets for relatives, or if the landing was not a document to which you purchased the ticket - was also a corruption component. "However, he noted that this option is currently being studied.

E-tickets, according to the head Ukrzaliznytsya, just and eradicate corruption in the sale of tickets; each ticket contains the necessary information about the person who will use them.
