Ukraine Reutilizes Large-Scale Projects on Portable Water

Despite the low level of funding for the state program "Portable Water of Ukraine", it was even managed in the regions to start to implement several large-scale projects at an estimated cost of more than 10 million UAH. This was announced by Acting Minister of Regional Development, Construction, Housing and Communal Services of Ukraine Oleksandr Alipov during a briefing at the Cabinet Building.
"24 speed free-flow filter utilities of Aulsk water line communal service were reconstructed in the Dnepropetrovsk region and that improved the quality of portable water for more than 2 million people in the Dnipropetrovsk region, significantly reduced the cost of potable water for flushing filters and reduce the discharge of wash water into the Dnieper. In Khmelnytsky region has been laid for about 7 kilometers of water mains of the new 20-kilometer water main. This year, 200 million UAH on a competitive basis will be directed for the construction and reconstruction of the intake structures and filtration plants using new technologies. And in the towns are already preparing the relevant projects, "- said A.Alipov.
According to him, in 2012 the program "Portable Water of Ukraine" envisages the allocation of 200.0 million UAH. For these funds will be construction and reconstruction of water intake facilities with the latest technology and equipment, particularly in regions with the largest deviations in water quality from the established requirements, the introduction of plants (plants) in the purification of drinking water systems, central water supply, primarily for the supply of pre-school, school and medical institutions and construction of settlements bottling of drinking water. In addition, the construction and reconstruction of water supply and sewage treatment facilities with the latest technology and equipment, as well as laboratory equipment to monitor water quality and waste water control and modern analytical equipment. One of the main criteria for the allocation of budget funds was the presence of optimization schemes developed centralized water and wastewater systems of the administrative-territorial units.
