Commercial supplies of Ukrainian electricity to Moldova from April 1, 2011 are provided by "DCT-Power Trade" (DTEK Power Trade), included in the largest Ukrainian private energy company "DTEK." The cost of Ukrainian electricity to 1 April 2012 was 6.1 cents a kw / h, according to a new contract, it increased to 6.9 cents a kilowatt / hour, which corresponds to the selling price of electricity from the Moldovan Power Station.

The contract provides for a monthly supply of electricity in amounts sufficient to fully cover the needs of northern and northwestern electricity distribution networks in Moldova (RED-Nord and RED Nord-Vest). In 2011 Ukraine supplied Moldova 665.6 million kW / h of electricity, of 26.8 times higher than in 2010.
