Asaka Bank Issues over 1mn Banking Payment Cards
OREANDA-NEWS. July 19, 2012. State joint stock commercial bank “Asaka” (Asaka Bank) emitted 1.042 million banking payment cards, the bank’s press service said in a statement.
State joint stock commercial bank “Asaka” (Asaka Bank) emitted 1.042 million banking payment cards as of 1 July 2012, the bank’s press service said in a statement.
According to the bank, the figure grew by 154,000 units compared to the same period of 2011. The bank also installed 8,421 POS-terminals.
As of 1 July 2012, total turnover with use of banking payment cards made up 1.738 trillion soums, which rose by 699.3 billion soums compared to the same period of 2011.
The bank continued to introduce so-called salary projects with use of soum banking cards at enterprises and organizations both clients of Asaka Bank and organizations, which are clients of other banks. As of 1 July 2012, the bank introduced 6,740 salary projects. The growth made up 354 year-on-year.
The bank also said that it purchased 10 infokiosks, which will be installed in July. As of 1 July 2012, the bank installed 36 infokiosks and 35 ATMs across Uzbekistan.
Asaka Bank said that it also issued 96,000 MasterCards in the reporting period, which grew by 22,000 compared to the same period of 2011.
