GPNS Got to Grips with One of Its Top Priority Projects
OREANDA-NEWS. July 19, 2012. The Company has got to grips with one of its top priority projects – large-scale revamp of the EP-300 ethylene-propylene facility.
In July-August, it is planned to replace the M-1 turbocompressor, the mass-transfer devices of the K-1 primary fractionation column and the feedwater turbine unit of the cracking heater, to assemble a coke removal unit and replace part of the heat exchange and pumping equipment. Thanks to the state-of-the-art devices, it will be possible to make the production more stable, raise the quality of pyrolysis condensate – pyrolysis resin separation and reduce power consumption increasing production efficiency.
One of the most important jobs is construction of a new SRT-VI cracking heater (Pos. F-04) which is to facilitate better pyrolysis selectivity due to the enhanced coil design. The heater will have the capacity of up to 36.4 ton/h as per feedstock, with the performance factor of up to 93.2%.
