OREANDA-NEWS. July 18, 2012. Lietuvos Energija AB was awarded OHSAS 18001:2007 / LST 1977:2008 certification No LT0071S. By granting this certification Bureau Veritas certifies that the Company’s occupational safety and health management system has been audited and found to be in compliance with the requirements of the above management system standard. The occupational safety and health management system is part of the Company’s management system, which comprises an organisational structure, planned activities, the sharing of responsibility, operating practises, internal arrangements and procedures, methods, process management and resources, required for the implementation, maintenance and improvement of the occupational safety and health policy. The purpose of OHSAS 18001 standard is to ensure occupational safety and health by reducing work-related incidents and illnesses.
