OREANDA-NEWS. July 18, 2012. The Security Department of Oranta uncovered the fact of insurance fraud on the part of citizen of Ukraine. With the purpose of unlawful appropriation of the insurance funds the cheater has insured deliberately damaged vehicle, using the fact of improper performance of duties by one of the employees of Kyiv Regional Directorate. Later, using forged documents, including those allegedly issued by the authority of Traffic Police, the person illegally obtained 33,908 hryvnia of the insurance reimbursement in 2011. The fact of the fraud was detected during the annual audit of losses settlement. As a result of the audit activities, money has been recovered and credited to the company in June of this year. The officers of the company, whose participation helped to commit the fraud, received disciplinary action. Last year, in the result of such checks the company managed to return illegally obtained funds totaling to UAH 96,891.
