ICBC Increases Limit for One ATM Cash Advance
OREANDA-NEWS. July 18, 2012. Earlier, ICBC announced higher ATM (Automatic Teller Machine) cash advance limit for personal customers to draw cash conveniently at ATM. The limit of one cash advance at ATM increased from RMB 2,500 to RMB 3,000, limit of one cash advance at CRS (Cash Recycling System) increased from RMB 2500 to RMB 5,000, reported the press-centre of ICBC.
To ensure smooth implementation, ICBC has stepped up the real-time monitoring on ATM, cash replenishment and emergency services, said an executive with the Bank. Nearly 60,000 ATMs are running in good condition. Meanwhile, customers welcome the higher limit which means less steps and better services.
In recent years, ICBC actively promotes self-service banking and encourages the use of ATM in an effort to provide safe, fast, convenient financial services to all customers through improved operation and management. In 2011, number of ICBC ATM transactions surpassed 5 billion, to 5.256 billion. Annual turnover rose 44% from a year earlier to RMB 4.8 trillion. Delivery and level of services have been improved significantly. Data shows that in 2011, number of cash advance/deposit transactions through ICBC ATMs surpassed that at ICBC counter. ICBC ATMs are now a main service channel for customers to draw/deposit cash.
