WISCO Hits List of Top 500 Chinese Brands with Steady Uptrend
OREANDA-NEWS. July 18, 2012. WISCO hits the list of (the Ninth) “China 500 Most Valuable Brands” in 2012 again with brand value of RMB 20.936 billion. Notably, WISCO has moved up one place to the 55th in the ranking list and the brand value of WISCO has risen by RMB 3.884 billion comparing with that of a year ago, reported the press-centre of WISCO.
The ranking list is released by the World Brand Lab. Based on the financial analysis, the consumer behavior analysis and the brand strength analysis, every year the World Brand Lad works out the report of the “China 500 Most Valuable Brands” that has been also used as the important basis to evaluate the intangible properties of enterprises in the process of mergers and acquisitions. Meanwhile, the report reveals the problems and future goals on brand building of Chinese enterprises. Brands from 24 industries including food, beverage, textile and apparel, mass media, information technology, household appliances, automobile, energy industry, etc. are selected as the “China 500 Most Valuable Brands” this year, in which 8 brands from Hubei like WISCO, DongFeng Motor Corporation, Chutian Metropolis Daily, etc. are selected.
In 2012, the value of the “China 500 Most Valuable Brands” totaled RMB 6583.764 billion, and the average value of each brand is RMB 13.168 billion. In addition, the lowest value of the selected brands this year has risen to RMB 1.186 billion from RMB 1.015 billion of last year. WISCO has been staying on this ranking list for 9 consecutive years since the first report of the “China 500 Most Valuable Brands” issued in 2004. Moreover, the brand value of WISCO has risen to RMB 20.936 billion from RMB 8.952 billion in 2004.
