OREANDA-NEWS. July 18, 2012. Treasure Gold Enterprise Co., Ltd. Held its 20 anniversary at Kerry Hotel Pudong, Shanghai. Tung Chee Hwa, Vice Chairman of CPPCC and first Chief Executive of HK SAR, Tong Chee-chen, Chairman of Tang Holdings Group, Hong Kong, Liang Minhang, Chairman of Gold Peak, Hong Kong, Dong Lixin, Director of GP, Liu Jianqing, Managing Director of Treasure Gold, Xu Lejiang, President of Baosteel Group Co., Ltd. Xie Qihua, Former President of Baosteel Group Co., Ltd., He Wenbo, General Manger of Baosteel Group Co., Ltd. Ma Guoqiang, General Manger of Baosteel Co., Ltd., Dai Zhihao, Deputy Manager of Baosteel Group Co., Ltd., as well as such senior leaders as Li Ming, Zhu Erpei and Shen Chengxiao, etc. attended the ceremony, reported the press-centre of Baosteel. 

Treasure Gold Enterprise Co., Ltd. is jointly funded by Baosteel and Gold Peak, Hongkong, to undertake transportation business of such raw material as ore, coal, etc for Baosteel and the society. The joint venture has successively signed 2 affreightment contracts with Baosteel in 1995 and 2007. Over the past 20 years, the fleet scale of Treasure Gold has expanded from 2 ships (130,000ton carry capacity) to 8 ships (1,350,000 ton carry capacity), and asset from over USD 50 million to USD 230 million. By the end of last year, freight volume is totalling 130 million ton, and excellent business performance has been obtained. It is reported that by 2015, the fleet scale will reach 14 ships, with total asset over USD 260 million.

Firstly, Dai Zhihao, on behalf of Baosteel, expressed congratulations to the excellent performance Treasure Gold has gained over the 20 years, and gratitude to the leaders and employees of who have made contributions to corporate development. He said, through Treasure Gold, Baosteel could not only realize fine profit, but also gain excellent transportation services and cultivate talents in relevant disciplines. Treasure Gold has laid solid foundation over the past 20 years, and set up good image in shipping market. He believes that under the joint effort, Treasure Gold will be more solid and steady towards higher and greater goals to gain better performance and pay back shareholders, providing more reliable and competitive logistic services for Baosteel and other partners.

Dong Lixin, on behalf of GP, Hongkong, expressed gratitude to the successive leaders and all employees of Baosteel who have shown great concerns and support to the development of GP for years. He said, over the past 20 years, Treasure Gold has been tested by the severe market with steady operation and strong development. Treasure Gold can not make such achievements without Baosteel. He said, the development of Treasure Gold has not only gained good profit, but also intensify the mutual friendship.
