OREANDA-NEWS. July 17, 2012. Belarus is considering the prospects of raising the rates of the excise tax on alcohol products on August 1, 2012, a source in the Belarusian government told.

In fact, the government plans to raise the excise tax on alcohol products twice this year: on August 1 and October 1, most likely by 10%.

The proposal to the raise the rates of the excise tax on alcohol products is still under discussion.
