Ministry of Agriculture of RF Violated Antimonopoly Law
OREANDA-NEWS. July 17, 2012. The FAS Commission found that the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation created preferential conditions for activities of “Plodorodie” Office” Federal State Budgetary Institution (in violation of Part 1 Article 15 of the Federal Law “On Protection of Competition”), reported the press-centre of FAS Russia.
The Ministry of Agriculture issued recommendations to subordinate institutions of the Melioration Department to conclude contracts with “Plodorodie” Office” Federal State Budgetary Institution for rendering state procurement services and other services related to providing competitive bidding on a priority basis.
The Commission concluded that actions of the Ministry of Agriculture were aimed at creating preferential conditions to “Plodorodie” Office” Federal State Budgetary Institution by providing priority access to the services, which restricts choice of economic entities that render services for organizing competitive bidding and restricts competition.
FAS issued a determination to the Ministry of Agriculture to stop violating the antimonopoly law.
