Investments in Azerbaijan Rose in June by 21% up
OREANDA-NEWS. July 16, 2012. Investments in Azerbaijani economy in June 2012 rose by 21.1% against May but turned out to be by 27.8% less than record level of December 2011.
The State Statistics Committee (SSC) informs that for Jan-June 2012 capital investments in country’s economy totaled AZN 5.924 bn (USD 7.499 bn in accord with average exchange rate: AZN 0.79 to the US dollar) that is by 29.6% more versus the 2011 same term. In June investments totaled AZN 1.451 bn (still the best indicator this year) against AZN 1.198 bn in May, AZN 1.175 bn in April, AZN 903 million in March, AZN 737 million in February and AZN 459.4 million in January.
Over 2011 capital investments in country’s economy totaled AZN 12.776 bn or USD 16.17 bn (+27.3% versus 2010).
In December 2011 investments totaled AZN 2.759 bn (the best monthly indicator for the entire history).
In 2010 investments made up AZN 9.715 bn, including AZN 2.01 bn (the former best index of investments per month for the entire history) in December.
According to the SSC data, for Jan-June 2012 domestic sources’ investments totaled AZN 4.6 bn that makes up 77.9% of all investments. Foreign investments reached AZN 1.308 bn that makes up 22.1% of all investments. Domestic investments in June made up AZN 1.195 bn (82.4%) and foreign - AZN 256 million (17.6%).
For comparison, in 2011 domestic sources’ investments totaled AZN 10.26 bn that makes up 80.3% of all investments. Foreign investments reached AZN 2.516 bn that makes up 19.7% of all investments.
For Jan-June 2012 the key sources of investments were enterprises’ funds (AZN 2.747 bn with a 16% rise), budget finances (AZN 2.507 bn with rise by 1.77-fold), bank loans (AZN 273.6 million with a 45.7% fall), extra-budgetary funds (AZN 229.7 million with rise by 1.82 fold), and population’s funds (AZN 149.7 million with decline of 1.6%).
Over Jan-June 2012 state investments totaled AZN 4.224 bn (71.3% of all investments) and non-state investments AZN 1.7 bn (25.9%). Investments from the State Budget for Jan-June totaled AZN 2.402 bn with forecast for the year for AZN 5.924 bn.
