OREANDA-NEWS.  July 16, 2012. TNK-BP is actively helping to develop and strengthen the Olympic movement in Russia and providing assistance to athletes preparing to represent the country in the 2012 and 2014 Olympic Games, reported the press-centre of TNK-BP.

TNK-BP is actively helping to implement a range of programmes to support athletes, coaches and specialists in the Company’s regions who are preparing to compete in the 2012 Olympic Games in London in and the 2014 Games in Sochi. The Company has allocated 162 million rules for these purposes in 2012, as well as helping to fund a programme to promote child sport – with a focus on specialized child and youth Olympic Reserve sports schools - and pay pensions to Olympic champions and prizewinners. These programmes are being run by the Foundation for Support of Russian Olympians, of which TNK-BP is a partner. Since 2007, TNK-BP has donated more than \\$20 mln to support the athletes.
