OREANDA-NEWS. July 13, 2012. The Strategy aims to change the paradigm of the economic development and speed up the GDP growth. Implementing of the National Strategy is planned to raise GDP growth, which is projected at 4.7% this year, by additional 1.2%.

This will result to additional growth of GDP by 10% within 10 years and its cumulative growth will make 60% by 2020. By 2020 GDP is expected to exceed the indicator of 2011 by 79%, with the porverty rate declining from 21.9% to 12.7%, and about 150 thou. people will be brought from under the poverty line. Changing the paradigm of the economic development, implementing concrete programs in priority areas, eliminating barriers in the economy and trade, stimulating investments, extending the export will help Moldova achieve higher rates of the economic growth and faster decline of the poverty rate.

The paradigm is stipulated to be changed by encouraging investing and removing obstacles hampering economic activity. The National Strategy embraces 7 priority lines: education, roads, finance, business, energy sector, pension system and justice.
