OREANDA-NEWS. July 13, 2012. Ukraine has all opportunities to strengthen its positions in global markets of seeds. Our government expects in the next 2-3 years to increase the export of seeds in 10 times - up to 1 billion UAH. This was announced by Deputy Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine, President of Ukrainian National Academy of Agricultural Sciences, Mykola Bezuglyi, during a briefing at the Cabinet of Ministers Building.

"We set ourselves the task to increase the export of seeds in the next 2-3 years in 10 times to the value of exports exceeded 1 billion UAH" – he said.

Bezugly added the export of seed from Ukraine increased in 3.5 times and reached 100 million UAH that last year. He informed that already signed agreements between Ukrainian scientists and leading international manufacturers on joint removal of seed varieties and hybrids in the Ukraine.

He also informed that it is planed to sign an agreement on the distribution in North and Latin America, the European Union and the CIS of seeds of Ukrainian winter wheat.
