OREANDA-NEWS. July 12, 2012. The first Southern Urals’ visit of Igor Kholmanskikh, the presidential envoy, started with Chelyabinsk Tractor Plant. Accompanied by Chelyabinsk Governor Mikhail Yurevich Mr Kholmanskikh was warmly welcomed by ChTZ CEO Semion Mlodik and Nikolay Gromov, the executive director of the plant.

Delegates reviewed the results of ChTZ investment program, which presently assimilated by the plant in amount of 500 million rubles. Upon its first phase some new machines have been already set in motion, while 24 new units are supposed to be loaded and set at the plant by December 2012. Additionally 2 billion rubles will be injected into modernization process before the end of 2014. Both authorities attended an installation area of ChTZ, which will be renovated soon as well.

Beside the point, carrying on dialogue with ChTZ workers Mr Kholmanskikh put special emphasis on the need of trained and educated engineers and mechanics.

After the visit of Motor Plant the officials did an exhibition of perspective engineer vehicles of ChTZ production. Semion Mlodik introduced new machines and commented their improved technical characteristics. Delegates had an opportunity to look at the whole range of ChTZ machines, including the smallest bulldozer B8 and the most powerful tractor DET400M. The last mentioned was recently modernized and now got a new design with plastic cover,”Caterpillar” undercarriage, “Cumminz” diesel and Italian hydraulic system. With all the novelties the machine was presented to public for the first time.

Bulldozer DET400M with diesel-electric transmission on alternate current, said the CEO of ChTZ, operates in the high moisture conditions, by its productivity leaving far behind other machines of the same class. Responding to a question of the governor about perspective diesel engines, Semion Mlodik emphasized that since 2013 tractors B11, B14 and all ChTZ wheel-loaders are planned to equip with T-type diesel engines.

Summarizing the results of officials’ visit, Semion Mlodik noted:”It was a pleasure to deal with professionals. Mr Kholmanskikh has an extensive background in mechanical engineering and significant experience of work at Uralvagonzavod, corporation we are joining presently. I was glad to meet our colleague in past and today’s Presidential Envoy. For our part, we have reported the current state of things at the plant and told about our plans and prospects”.
