OREANDA-NEWS. July 12, 2012. Within Saint Petersburg International Economic Forum Maxim Sokolov Minister of Transport of the Russian Federation arrived on a working visit to Pulkovo Airport. During visit he had a look at construction and refurbishment of new passenger terminal and adjacent area.

Northern Capital Gateway LLC, Airport "Pulkovo" JSC, State ATM Corporation FSUE, Federal Air Transport Agency North West Interregional Territorial Department of Air Transport, Rossiya Airlines JSC and representatives of key Saint Petersburg Government committees took part in working meeting. Issues on Pulkovo Airport overall development after completion of reconstruction project and as well improvement of the RF legislation concerning airport sphere were brought up during meeting.

"Pulkovo Airport reconstruction project is an important element in development of Russia aviation industry. Pulkovo Airport reconstruction is currently progressing on schedule, during SPIEF the Airport is working at the limit. Airport operator takes all needed measures for timely and qualitative handling of passengers. Major Airport reconstruction carrying by NCG LLC will allow resolving of existing infrastructure problems "noted Maxim Sokolov.
