OREANDA-NEWS. July 12, 2012. The CCI of Russia Board has held a meeting at 6, Ilyinka Street.

CCI of Russia President Sergey Katyrin opened the Board meeting.

The first item on the agenda was the Development Strategy of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Russia in the Period until 2020.

Sergey Katyrin said in a brief introductory speech that JSC Strategy Partners Group was hired to draft the Strategy. Approximately 1,000 CCI experts, representatives of client companies, business unions and associations and CCI of Russia committees assisted the drafting. Today we will sum up the results of the many-months work and make a decision, the CCI of Russia President said.

JSC Strategy Partners Group Managing Partner Alexander Idrisov took the floor next to speak about the company’s work. The drafting of the CCI of Russia Development Strategy is topical in the context of Russia’s competitive advantages and challenges and the new economic course of the Russian President. It is a mission of the Chamber to assist the national economic development through the creation of favorable conditions for all types of enterprise. The speaker presented a vision of the CCI of Russia in 2020. It is supposed to become an efficient instrument of the dialog between the business community and the state, an efficient supplier of services needed by business, and the biggest union of enterprises and entrepreneurs of Russia.

JSC Strategy Partners Group proposed the following stages in the implementation of the Strategy. The preparatory stage – 2012 – the laying down of a methodological and technological foundation for work on the selected strategic vectors. The activation stage – 2013-2014 – the provision of constant sources of financing of the statutory activity and growing authority among business and power bodies. The active growth stage – 2015-2017 – significant growth of the efficiency of representation of business interests and services to business. The breakthrough stage – 2018-2020 – the attainment of the strategic vision 2020.

Tula CCI head Yuri Agafonov, World Trade Center Moscow General Director Vladimir Salamatov, Vyatka CCI President Nikolai Lipatnikov, Board Chairman of the “Development” Association of Agencies for Support of Small and Medium Business Viktor Yermakov, Chairman of the CCI Committee on Consumer Market Development, Moscow International Business Association General Director Alexander Borisov, Russian Presidential Representative (Ombudsman) for Business Rights Boris Titov, Altai CCI President Boris Chesnokov, Togliatti CCI Board Chairman Vladimir Zhukov and some others took part in the discussion. A number of comments and additions to the Strategy were offered.

In conclusion, the meeting participants basically approved the proposed strategy of the CCI of Russia development in the period until 2020. JSC Strategy Partners Group was offered jointly with units and committees of the CCI of Russia to upgrade the Strategy with due account of the comments and proposals and to draft an action plan for the period until 2016. Territorial chambers of commerce and industry were offered to draft their development strategies, with due account of regional peculiarities and possibilities, on the basis of the CCI of Russia Development Strategy in the Period until 2020.

The CCI of Russia Board had some other items on the agenda, too. Those included the procedure for the submission of information and documents for a resolution on recognition (non-recognition) of commodities manufactured (received) with the use of foreign goods put under customs procedures of the free customs zone or a free warehouse, as a Customs Union commodity, the list of such information and documents, and the procedure for the drawing up of such resolutions; and the affirmation of a commercial custom (customs of trade) existent in the Russian Federation.

Relevant decisions were made on all the considered items on the agenda.
