OREANDA-NEWS. July 11, 2012. According to the Department of Quality of OJSC KAMAZ, the number of claims for replacement of KAMAZ vehicles in operation has decreased by 1.6 times since 2006.

KAMAZ takes various measures to reduce the number of complaints. For example, the company monitors the operation of vehicles during their warranty and post-warranty period. Some defects can be revealed only after 100-300 thousand kilometers travelled. The company`s experts collect statistics data and send them to the Scientific and Technical Center of KAMAZ and production units where vehicles undergo modification.

In addition, in order to reduce reclamations, KAMAZ has recently changed several suppliers, improved methods of processing, shapes of parts with the help of the latest equipment used in their manufacture. In cooperation with foreign partners at joint ventures, the company began to produce Cummins diesel engines, ZF gearboxes, Federal Mogul piston-and-cylinder parts, and Knorr-Bremse brake gears. These components are used in the construction of vehicles. So, the quality of assembly of KAMAZ units is much higher now.
